Edwardian Chester sterling silver fluted condiment set - mustard pot, salt and pepperette
Edwardian sterling silver three-piece condiment set of elegant half-fluted design. The pepperette has an inverted baluster body and rests on an oval pedestal foot. The salt cellar and mustard pot are resting on ball feet and have reeded borders; they both have their original Bristol blue glass liners. The mustard pot has a domed hinged lid.
Beautiful and functional set.
Mustard and salt made by James Deakin & Sons (John & William F Deakin) and hallmarked for 1906, Chester – a centre of English provincial silver. Shaker made by Joseph Cook & Son and hallmarked for Birmingham 1909.
