Large sterling silver shaker with cobalt blue Bristol glass liner. Round form, raised on a stepped base; the body is of openwork panelled pierced design. There are two decorative Neoclassical medallions depicting urn vases; the body is further decorated with a scrolling garland that is etched to depict leaves and flowers.
The shaker could be used for salt or as a peppertree, but is large enough to be used as a sugar tower or muffineer.
