Porcelaine de Paris porcelain rectangular tea caddy in "Chinese export" style. Marked with a pseudo Chinese red mark to base. Decorated with bianco sopra bianco high relief scrolls, hand-painted with polychrome enamel red and purple flower bouquets and trimmed with a gilded lily border to base.

The front bears the coat of arms of The Duke of Sutherland (the Egerton family) - a horse and griffin crest and a Latin motto "Sic Donec."
