Antique Chinese export silver, enamel and mother-of-pearl large belt buckle, applied chrysanthemum flowers
Late 19th century beautiful Chinese export mother-of-pearl octagonal belt buckle set in 900 solid silver and decorated with an overlay of enamel chrysanthemum flowers. Wonderful rich hues to the polychrome enamelling in turquoise green, royal blue and yellow. The silver mounts are trimmed with a twisted rope border.
Made in China, c. 1890’s; marked “90” and with the maker’s mark on reverse.
