Victorian walnut workbox / jewellery storage box with working key and lift out lid

Victorian walnut workbox with a domed hinged lid and large ornate star and rhombus shaped marquetry escutcheons to key and lid.

The box has a working key, so can be used to store jewellery. The interior is lined with pink pastel paper and the box has a fitted interior and lift out tray.

Wonderfully warn and rich colour and great patina - simply superb example of bygone luxury and style!
