Lovely pair of Victorian sterling silver napkin rings in their original fitted case. Engraved all over with an Art Nouveau design of scrolling foliage and trimmed with beaded borders; the interiors of the rings are lightly gilded. The brown leather presentation case is decorated with gilded embossing and lined with blue silk and purple velvet.
Both rings have vacant cartouches, so they can be personalised and engraved as a present.
Made by William Hunter and fully hallmarked for London, 1876.
60.01 g silver weight / 1.93 t oz
Box – 8 x 5.2 cm
Napkin rings – 3 cm tall, 4.3 cm diameter
Great antique condition. The napkin rings are not perfectly round; scuffing to box commensurate with age.
