Exquisite mid-Victorian sterling silver chalice of circular bell-shaped form with a knopped stem, and circular spreading foot. Features a wide engraved wriggle work border and central swags of foliate decoration.

The goblet's body is elegantly adorned with bright cut engraved foliate motifs. The upper section adds extra charm with engraved swags, incorporating two distinctive bands.

There is a circular vacant cartouche at the centre for personalised engraving, making this a wonderful present.

A true collector's piece!

Mady by Henry Holland (of Holland, Aldwinckle & Slater) and fully hallmarked for London, 1868.
