Late 19th century Samson French armorial porcelain tea caddy and cover. Typical Chinese riverscape to one side and armorial crest on the other. Hand-painted in polychrome enamelling and gilded with ornate borders.
Chinese four character painted red mark to base.
Made by Edmé Samson et Cie, c. 1890’s.

Excellent antique condition. Some wear to gilt appropriate to age; small sideways chip to inner rim of the neck; wear to black border in one spot.
