George V Chester sterling silver blue guilloche enamel trinket box / ring casket, Henry Clifford Davis

Attractive George V English provincial sterling silver round ring casket with a hinged domed lid decorated with royal blue guilloche enamel. The box is lined with navy blue velvet and gilded to base; the body rests on three reeded cabriole feet.

Made by Henry Clifford Davis and fully hallmarked for Chester, 1916.

Very good antique condition, no damage to the enamel. Several dings and few small dents to silver; loss to gilt and scuffing to base.
