George III large fancy sterling silver sugar tongs with shell bowls, Stephen Adams

A pair of large George III sterling silver sugar tongs / nips. Engraved scrolling design on pierced openwork arms and ornate shell claws.

Made by Stephen Adams, London. Undated, mark used between 1770 and 1812.

Very good antique condition. The joining section had too much pressure applied to it at some point, resulting in a surface crack to the exterior.
