This set of three plates follows the same ribbed, gilt-striped design that made this particular Vieux Paris pattern so widely copied across Europe at the turn of the 19th century — alternating bands of plain white porcelain and gold, a simple enough formula that both Royal Vienna and Sèvres produced comparable versions of their own. The restraint of the pattern is really what makes it work: no painted scenes or heavy ornament competing for attention, just the contrast between bare porcelain and gilding doing all the visual work.
They're attributed to Jean-Pierre Feuillet, a decorator active between 1814 and 1834, though the bases carry no maker's mark — Feuillet worked independently as a painter-decorator rather than running his own factory, which was a common enough arrangement at the time and explains why so much fine Vieux Paris porcelain from this period survives unsigned despite its quality.

Excellent antique condition. Some wear to gilt appropriate to age and use; small firing defect to reverse of one plate.
