Egg-shaped large red lacquerware box on stand, gilded and painted with angelfish

Ornate Vietnamese lacquerware novelty box in the shape of a large red egg resting on a black stand. Ornately painted and gilded all over with angelfish swimming among sea foliage.

Made in Vietnam, c. 1980's.
