Edwardian sterling silver large pin dish / dressing table tray / vide poche

Edwardian sterling silver openwork dressing table tray. Oblong body with a serpentine edge is ornately pierced all over with a geometric rhombus design. The body is further decorated with embossed scrolls and flowers in typical Art Nouveau style of the period. There are two vacant cartouches for personalised engraving.

Wonderfully ornate trinket dish that would be a great vide poche or a pen tray.

Made by Stainton Brothers and fully hallmarked for Birmingham, 1902.

Good antique condition. Several dings and small indents to body; some crimpling along the embossed border; several small splits along the edge; dent to one cartouche.
