About this piece
Baroque pearls are the ones nature refused to smooth out — irregular, asymmetrical shapes that form when something disrupts the usual layering process inside an oyster, and rather than being treated as flawed, they've been prized for centuries specifically because no two ever match. This strand carries thirty-nine of them, oval and shimmering white, saltwater rather than freshwater, which generally means a denser, glossier nacre than their freshwater counterparts.
Small sterling silver beads are worked in between each pearl, breaking up the strand visually and giving it a bit of metallic glint against all that pearlescent white, while a sterling silver lobster clasp finishes things off practically rather than decoratively. At princess length, it's the classic pearl necklace silhouette — sitting just below the collarbone, versatile enough for both daily wear and something a bit more occasion-specific.
