This twin-handled vase carries that spray of flowers and fruit against the warm ivory ground, the kind of naturalistic botanical subject Art Nouveau porcelain leaned on across the region regardless of which specific workshop produced any given piece.
Dated to the 1890's and marked with a shape number that reads as either 540 or 640, the numbering slightly unclear, the piece sits within Bohemia's most active decorative porcelain decades, when demand for exactly this kind of confidently painted, softly toned ware was running high across Central Europe.
