Art Deco gilt sterling silver lady's cigarette case, rounded striped design

Art Deco gilt sterling silver ladies’ cigarette case. Bulbous oblong body is decorated with alternating striped and plain bands; the interior of the case is richly gold-washed.

Made by Henry Matthews and fully hallmarked for Birmingham, 1921.
