Antique Continental gilt solid silver oval snuff / pill box embossed with lyre and flower garlands

Lovely late 19th century solid silver snuff / trinket pill box with gilt wash interior. Of oval body with a hinged flat lid. Beautifully embossed to lid with a lyre and floral garlands. The sides of the box are decorated with repoussage work depicting geometric arches and small bunches of flowers.

Made c. 1890’s, Europe. Unmarked, tests for silver.
