Edwardian revival jewellery had a real market through the mid-20th century, largely because the original period's delicate, garland-style aesthetic translated well into affordable gold-plated pieces without losing much of its visual appeal in the process. This brooch takes that formula and builds it into an openwork star, scrolling foliate flourishes filling out the form, set with graduated imitation pearls that increase in size as they move outward from the centre.
