Antique Chinese Export hand painted porcelain shallow bowl / deep plate. Blue and white underglaze depicting koi carp fish; signed to base.

Fish patterns are widely used in traditional Chinese artworks, symbolising abundance, success and prosperous life.

Made in China, c. 1860’s, Tongzhi period, Qing dynasty.
