Pair of Victorian pottery copper lustreware moulded jugs / pitchers with religious scenes and snake handles
Late Victorian pottery copper lustreware pair of small wine jugs raised on pedestal feet. Moulded in relief with Mary, Joseph and infant Jesus on one side and Jesus preaching on the other. The ornate figural handle is fashioned in the form of a coiling snake with high-relief scales and painted eyes. The lustre glaze is further enhanced with green scrolling.
Made in England, c. 1890's.
