1840’s pottery copper lustreware small wine jug with Bacchus mask and floral sprays
Early Victorian pottery copper lustre small wine jug of round baluster body, raised on a pedestal foot. Moulded in relief with vignettes of hand-painted red and yellow flower sprays and green foliage, reserved on a royal-blue-ground band. The spout of the pitcher is fashioned in the shape of a Bacchus mask.
Made in England, c. 1840's.
