Beautiful Victorian sterling silver Christening set comprising a pedestal egg cup and a Hanoverian pattern spoon. The cup’s rim, base and girdle are trimmed with gadrooned borders. The set comes in its original fitted presentation case with brown leather exterior and purple velvet and royal blue silk lining. The box has an attractive serpentine form.
Made by Charles Edwards and fully hallmarked for London, 1894 and 1895.
