Victorian sterling silver butter knife / caviar spreader with mother of pearl handle
Wonderful mid-Victorian master butter knife with a sterling silver blade and collar and lovely mother-of-pearl handle. The blade is ornately engraved with scrolling foliage and decorated with an applied acanthus leaf to reverse. The handle is made of thick, quality nacre and has a beautiful deep lustre and rich colouring.
This would also make for a wonderful caviar knife.
