Lovely late Victorian 9kt yellow gold bar brooch set with an oval brilliant-cut citrine to centre, measuring approximately 2.5 ct. Beautiful deep golden hue to the stone which is enhanced with the open back setting to allow light to enter the stone. The citrine is mounted in a "jagged teeth" setting with a twisted rope decoration; the brooch is fluted and bright-cut and accented with applied rose gold flowers.

The reverse has the original C-clasp and a little hook where a safety chain can be attached.

Made by William Clark Manton and fully hallmarked for Birmingham, 1893.

Citrine measures approximately 2.5 ct.
