Exquisite mid-Victorian sterling silver chalice of ovoid form with a knopped stem flowing into raised foot. The goblet is adorned with intricate bright cut engraved strapwork, which wraps around its body, showcasing four arabesque motifs and leaf designs along the upper rim.

The body of the goblet features four connected leaf-shaped cartouches. Two cartouches display elaborate floral and leaf motifs, one is engraved with "Suzanne" while the other one is empty.

Made by Charles Hougham and fully hallmarked for London, 1864
