Meiji period Japanese bone signed okimono / netsuke, two toads and snake on pumpkin
Wonderful little Japanese okimono / netsuke. Ball-shaped and humorous in nature, the carving depicts two toads and a snake climbing over a pumpkin. The frogs are possibly trying to escape from the serpent who is coiling its way through the vegetable, with its head peeping out from inside.
Signed with a two-character mark to base.
