Large Victorian silver plated vesta match holder, hunting hound / gun dog
Large Victorian figural silver-plated match holder / vesta case that is modelled as the head of a hunting hound / gun dog. The dog wears a collar that has a bale attached to it, allowing this to be worn with a pocket watch chain. The hinged base has a textured plate for striking matches.

Very good antique condition. Wear to silvering appropriate to age and use; the lid doesn’t sit flush and is a bit raised on one side.
