Edwardian Scottish silver blue rhinestone filigree leaf brooch
Edwardian Scottish sterling silver large foliate brooch in the form of two leaves overlaying a scrolling filigree body. The centre is set with a deep blue marquise-cut rhinestone. The reverse has a C-clasp closure which were in use up to 1910's.

Glasgow silversmiths The Ward Brothers produced jewellery from the nineteenth century and were originally based in Edinburgh and Glasgow. Later moving to Birmingham (where this piece was crafted) to increase production, they produced Scottish designs with brilliant faceted stones.
