Beautiful late Victorian solid silver open face ladies pocket watch with Swiss movement. Ornately engraved and bright-cut to the back with Art Nouveau scrolls, foliage and flowers; the sides are decorated with wriggle work borders and small geometric snowflakes / stars. The enamel dial is off-white with a pale pink band underneath the blue Roman numerals. The hands are gilded and the dial is hand-painted with lovely delicate gold scrolls and crosses. The are small ruby-red accents at 12, 3, 6 and 9 marks.

The back of the watch has a vacant shield cartouche for personalised engraving, so this would make a wonderful present.

Inscribed inside “W.E. Watts Nottingham" and “The Greenwich Lever”. The watch has a key-wound movement which is working nicely. A winding key is included.

Marked inside with a bear and 0.935 for Swiss silver standard.

Great antique condition, the watch works. Small dents to the back cover which are hardly visible from the outside because of the engraved decoration.
