Exquisite sterling silver bonbon basket dating to early 20th century. Oval fluted serpentine bowl is pierced with an ornate scrolling Art Nouveau motif. The dish is raised on four delicate cast foliate feet and is panelled with a petal design to the centre.
Very sizeable dish, perfect for serving snacks, candy or nuts, or even to be used as a vide poche.
Made for Boots Pure Drug Company and fully hallmarked for Birmingham, 1918.
