Art Nouveau Mauser silver crystal dressing table jar / vanity pot / toilet box
Very impressive large vanity table pot with crystal body and gilt sterling silver lid. The baluster jar is slice-cut in a spiralling fluted design - the plain bands are interspersed with strawberry diamond and star-cut sections. The lid is ornately embossed with an Art Nouveau design of floral swags, garlands and scrolls; one portion of the lid has wonderful repoussage depicting a daisy bouquet. The interior of the lid is very subtly gold-washed.
