The underside carries an impressed \"Mason's Patent Ironstone China\" mark.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe decoration is dense gilding worked in fine outline over cobalt, drawing on Chinese and wider Asian decorative sources that English potteries leaned on heavily in this period.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch3\u003eCondition notes\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eLight surface scratching to the gilt within the bowl, visible in raking light, along with expected crazing to the glaze on the underside and around the foot rim.
